As a practitioner of Interventional Pain Management and Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (Endoscopic) my mission is to work diligently to control your pain rather than have the pain control you. A patient centered individual treatment plan is achieved through good communication and spending as much time as needed with each patient. Comprehensive and compassionate care, whether surgical or non-surgical treatment, will be delivered to exceed my patient’s expectations.
Faris Abusharif, M.D. is a native of Chicago, born and raised in the southwest suburbs. He completed undergraduate studies at DePaul University in Chicago. He received his medical degree from The Chicago Medical School. He completed 2 years of general surgery residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago. He then completed his Anesthesia residency at the University of Illinois and subsequently completed his Pain Management fellowship also at the university of Illinois. He has been practicing since 2005 and has developed an outstanding reputation among his patients and peers. He also has an academic appointment at Midwestern University Medical School.
Ashraf H. Darwish, M.D.
Dr. Ashraf Darwish offers comprehensive care solutions, allowing patients to return quickly to active and healthy lifestyles. His main interests in orthopaedics are diagnosing and treating disorders of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine.
The cornerstone of Dr. Darwish’s care philosophy is to utilize surgery as the last option. He often recommends nonsurgical solutions for the relief of neck and back pain including diagnostic procedures, pain management, physical therapy, and return to work programs.
For patients who are good surgical candidates, Dr. Darwish has had extensive training in procedures that range from common to the more complex, such as minimally invasive surgery, microsurgery, decompression and fusion, and deformity correction. Dr. Darwish’s personal mission is to provide individualized care for each patient.
